Excellent Results at BSOA Score Champs

All the children had a fantastic time at the British Schools Score Championships at Park Wood near High Wycombe in the Chilterns on 7 October. They all enjoyed the atmosphere in competing in a national event. For most it was their first taste of competitive orienteering. I am so pleased for them in the results they achieved. We took 24 children from 6 different schools. (Full results here)

The other Southampton Schools competing were Chamberlayne Park Senior School
and The Grove Park Senior School

Thanks also to the teachers Angie Cryne and Mike Allen who drove the
minibuses and Julia Tucker-Blackford who coordinated all the entries and
organised all of us!

As for SOC juniors Edith Parkinson was 14th in year 9 girls for St. Annes,
Tamsin Moran was 2nd Year 7 girl for Thornden School, and Nicholas Moran
was11th Year 5 boy for Hiltingbury Junior School.
